Effective Date: August 19, 2026
Evangelos Photography Ltd. (“Evangelos Photography,” “we,” “us,” or “the Studio”) respects the privacy of our clients, customers and website visitors. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, retain and protect personal information in accordance with British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (“PIPA”) and other applicable Canadian privacy laws.
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected through our studio, website, booking and ordering systems, online galleries, email, telephone communications and photography services.
Depending on your interaction with us, we may collect personal information including:
Payment card information may be processed directly by third-party payment processors. Evangelos Photography does not necessarily receive or retain complete payment card details when payment is processed through those providers.
We limit the collection of personal information to information that is reasonably necessary for the purposes identified at or before the time of collection, or as otherwise permitted or required by law.
We may use personal information for reasonable business purposes connected with providing our photography services, including:
Maintaining records relating to previous photography sessions and orders;
We will not use personal information for a materially different purpose unless we obtain any consent required by law or the use is otherwise permitted by law.
We obtain consent for the collection, use and disclosure of personal information where required by applicable law.
The form of consent may vary depending upon the nature and sensitivity of the information and the circumstances in which it is collected. Consent may be express or implied where permitted by law.
An individual may withdraw consent to the collection, use or disclosure of personal information by contacting us, subject to reasonable notice and any legal, contractual or operational restrictions.
Withdrawal of consent does not affect collection, use, disclosure or retention that occurred before the withdrawal became effective. In some circumstances, withdrawing consent may prevent us from providing or completing a requested service.
PIPA also permits certain collection, uses and disclosures without consent in circumstances specified by law.
Photographs taken by Evangelos Photography may constitute personal information when an identifiable individual appears in them.
We may retain photographic files and associated identifying or session information for legitimate business purposes, including fulfilling current or future orders, responding to customer inquiries, maintaining historical photography records, reproducing previously ordered photographs where available, resolving disputes and maintaining business archives, subject to applicable law.
The continued retention of a photograph does not guarantee that the photograph will remain available indefinitely. Files may be deleted, lost, corrupted, damaged, migrated, become inaccessible or otherwise cease to be available. Clients are responsible for maintaining their own copies of purchased digital photographs.
Unless otherwise authorized by the individual or permitted by law, identifiable client photographs will not be used for advertising or promotional purposes without appropriate consent.
Where Evangelos Photography provides photography services in connection with a school, university, faculty, student society, organization, employer or other group, we may receive limited personal information from that organization or collect information directly from the individual for purposes connected with providing the photography service.
This information may be used to organize sessions, identify photographed individuals, prepare composites or group materials, provide galleries, facilitate orders and otherwise perform the applicable photography program.
Information relating to one individual will not ordinarily be provided to another individual merely because they belong to the same graduating class, organization, group or photography session.
Where photography services involve minors, we may collect and use personal information reasonably necessary to provide the requested photography services.
Where consent of a parent, guardian or other authorized person is required by applicable law or by the circumstances of the photography service, we will seek that consent as appropriate.
Certain photographs may be made available through online galleries, proofing systems or ordering platforms.
Where a gallery is protected by a password, access code, unique link or other access mechanism, recipients are responsible for keeping that information secure and for sharing it only with persons they intend to authorize.
No internet transmission, online gallery, email system or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the circumstances, but cannot guarantee absolute security.
Evangelos Photography does not sell or rent personal information.

When personal information is processed in another jurisdiction, it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction and may be accessible to courts, governments, law-enforcement agencies or regulatory authorities in accordance with applicable law.
Evangelos Photography remains responsible for personal information under its control as required by applicable law.
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the personal information in our custody or control.
These measures are intended to protect personal information against risks including unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, loss or disposal.
However, no physical or electronic storage or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
PIPA expressly requires organizations to make reasonable security arrangements for personal information under their custody or control.
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, to maintain appropriate business and historical records, to meet legal, tax, accounting or regulatory requirements, to resolve disputes, or as otherwise permitted or required by law.
Different types of information may be retained for different periods.
Where personal information is no longer reasonably required for legal or business purposes, we may securely destroy, erase or anonymize it.
Where PIPA requires information used to make a decision directly affecting an individual to be retained, it must generally be retained for at least one year after it is used so the individual has a reasonable opportunity to obtain access to it.
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that personal information used to make a decision affecting an individual, or information likely to be disclosed to another organization, is accurate and complete as required by applicable law.
Clients are encouraged to notify us if their relevant personal information changes or if they believe information in our records is inaccurate.
Subject to the exceptions and procedures established by PIPA, individuals may request access to personal information about themselves that is under our control and may request correction of information they believe is inaccurate.
Access rights apply to personal information, and do not necessarily provide a right to obtain every business record, photograph, working file, proprietary record, third-party information or other material held by Evangelos Photography.

Requests should be submitted in writing to our Privacy Officer using the contact information below.
PIPA establishes both access and correction rights as well as procedures and response requirements for such requests.
When contacting us or submitting information, please do not provide personal information about another individual unless you are authorized to do so or the disclosure is otherwise permitted by law.
An individual requesting photographs, records or information concerning another person may be required to provide appropriate authorization before we can disclose personal information relating to that person.
